Hello there! I’m Laura Redfern, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Certified Financial Transitionist®. As you step inside my cozy office, you’ll be greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere filled with plants, pillows, and inspirational quotes – a true oasis amidst the often-overwhelming world of finance.

My journey into this realm began with a poignant observation during my teenage years. Whenever the topic of money arose, my mother would silently exit the room. She later confessed that she felt stupid and preferred to avoid such discussions. However, to me, she was a budgeting wizard! Stretching my father’s income, she was able to provide a comfortable life for our family of four. That incongruity sparked my desire to help women and families overcome their financial fears, recognize their strengths, and create a better reality for themselves.

Fast forward over two decades. Now immersed in the financial services industry, I joined the Shadowridge team in 2013. While I certainly love the technical aspects of finance and hold the prestigious CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, my true passion lies in understanding people. I strive to take the fear out of finance by communicating in relatable, down-to-earth terms, ensuring that you never feel overwhelmed or intimidated. In 2023, I published my first book on the subject, entitled “Peaceful Prosperity: Taking the Fear Out of Finance.”

You see, my mission is to help clients navigate not just the financial aspects of life but also the emotional journeys that money can bring. Whether it’s marriage, retirement, or family concerns that bring you to my door, I approach each client relationship with empathy and care.
