Ryan C. Redfern, ChFC®, worked in the financial services industry for over 15 years before founding Shadowridge Asset Management in 2012. Fueled by the belief that his clients deserved better investment management, his vision was to create an asset management firm that served as a fiduciary and advocate for its clients. That vision, along with hard work, has carried the firm from a one-man operation to a dedicated network of financial professionals with over 300 clients today. In addition to managing the business as President of the company, Ryan prides himself on investment development & implementation, providing thorough daily analyses of the markets to keep the strategies and clients of Shadowridge up to date.

Will Hepburn’s investment career spans five decades, during which he ran his own company for 32 years specializing in Strategies that Adapt to Changing Markets®. Will has taught investing at the college level for over 30 years, practiced as a Certified Financial Planner for 12 years, managed two mutual funds, been chairman of NAAIM, a national trade group of active money managers, and is the author of the 2018 book, Why Bad Things Happen to Good Investments. Today, Will serves as investment counsel to Shadowridge’s Chief Investment Officer, Ryan Redfern, and continues to serve clients he has worked with for many years.

Laura F. Redfern, CFP®, joined the team in 2013, after working over 11 years in the financial services industry. Having a background in the areas of investment management and retirement planning, Laura was attracted to comprehensive financial planning. She earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2011, completing additional training in the areas of financial planning, tax planning, insurance, employee benefits, and estate planning. An experienced speaker and team leader, Laura also has earned the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) designation from Toastmasters International. Laura has a passion for speaking in “real world” terms to inspire clients to become confident in their financial decisions. She brings a balanced, holistic approach to her work.

Phil joined the SDW team in 2019, after spending over 25 years in the financial services industry. Phil holds a Masters of Business Administration and brings experience in real estate development to his diverse financial background. He has always had an interest in helping people prepare for their financial lives and prides himself on real-world application of financial principles. Phil is a natural connector who uses his strengths as a communicator to engage clients in a wide range of conversations. He is an upbeat problem-solver with attention to value and efficiency. Kinley A. Redfern
Kinley joined the Shadowridge in 2016 after graduating from Texas A&M University. At Shadowridge, she brings a unique and valuable set of skills to her position as a Relationship Manager. She is eager to learn and enjoys the opportunity to help the company grow. Kinley ensures that things run smoothly by utilizing her unfailing wit, lighthearted demeanor, and unique infatuation for organizing. Providing support to clients and the Shadowridge Team is her focus.

Yvette R. Zurita
Yvette joined Shadowridge in 2020, after spending over 15 years in the financial services industry. A lifelong learner full of hope and energy, Yvette’s goal is to help team members experience success. She brings attention to detail and a wealth of experience that complements our team and keeps things on track. An Arizona native and current California resident, Yvette proudly serves clients in the same efficient, friendly, and professional manner as she has done for many years.

David H. Featherston, Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

David H. Featherston brings over 20 years of experience in financial analysis and management to the Shadowridge team. He has acted as Chief Financial Officer and Controller for various Austin corporations and currently serves as our resident accounting consultant. As a CPA, David has impeccable attention to detail and a well-organized, systematic approach to his work. As an Investment Advisor Representative, David has a unique perspective for helping clients with questions about the tax ramifications of their investment decisions. He is dependable, caring, and eager to assist clients in finding answers and achieving their goals.

Trader and Investment Advisor Representative
Christine likes learning what makes things tick. A psychology and sociology graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, she has noticed that “translating human behavior” has been a lifelong theme. She joined the Shadowridge team in 2021 as a Trader and Investment Advisor Representative, after a career in Event Management and Administration.
Christine feels that while not everyone may want to know the intricate workings of finances as she does, still, everyone can benefit from the practical application of responsible financial planning. It is her goal to help people improve their lives by bringing this information to light.
When she’s not pouring over charts and identifying market trends, Christine can be found out hiking with her dog Haley.
